Serge Monfort, 54 years old, was a comics fan since his childwood. Once adult, he still interested in children’s comics. he puts the harsh statement : « Nowadays, comics authors and comics publishers, both turn their works to adult comics. So i wanted to bring my own part to the children’s comics department.»

Environmentalist, Serge use his gift for children and animals and choose to draw about the animal life. His first “child” names “Toupoil le Chien-Loutre” (dog/otter) it’s a story of a dog witch become friends with otters, bears and lynx.

This work is aimed mainly at 5 to 10 years old children, and recieve the “Alph’Art Jeunesse” price during the Angoulême International Comics Festival.
